Key Items - Final Fantasy 2
Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster has 14 key items. Most progress automatically at the right story moment; a few (the Ring, Mythril, and the White Mask / Black Mask pair for Mysidia) you hand to an NPC or place on a pedestal when the game prompts.
Early Game
Altair through Bafsk Cave. The Ring, Canoe, Mythril, and the Pass that boards the Dreadnought.

Late Game
Castle Fynn through the Cyclone. The White and Black Masks for the Mysidia puzzle, the Crystal Rod for Mysidian Tower, and the hatched Wyvern that flies you into the endgame.
